Enjoyed your review very much, very entertaining I am a Danau member and yeah, its a very challenging course. Gotten used to hearing all the guys grouse about the ladies tee being so far in front but its a course fair to those who just begun playing except if you like gila shots of course! The unfamiliar find it difficult to locate their ball under the trees etc etc..so come play more often and you will find it more accomodating over time (hopefully!!).

They probably upgraded it, Davin after that. I myself only heard of it recently. It’s a decent course for golf, don’t look at the service or anything else though. Keep hacking!

Long time reader, first time contributor.

I’m not a golf nut by any means, the first real time I’ve ever really taken golf up was at *gasp* UKM.

That’s right, I was doing my degree, and they insisted that we take a sport up for a semester or two. Being the lazy bunch of guys we were, we picked golf. “Hey, its golf. Its like hockey, except a lot smaller”.

Was that ever a mistake.

So in short, what I know from golf, comes from UKM and Danau (though in 2001, I’m not sure if it was called Danau). The course and club house didn’t look so great back then (from memory). Either that, or they showed the uni students a different, slightly run down club house so we wouldn’t be asking why UKM was spending all that money on the club house.

Anyway, keep posting stuff, always a good read.

Like to play at Danau. Quite challenging and one of my favourites : ). SSG premier members only pay RM 40 ringgit Monday to Sunday.

Agree during the raining season the fairway and rough sucks. But also happened to other part of malaysia course under this category I reckon.

When dry it is simply very enjoyable until the green kills you hahahaaa. That is the challenge.

agree with siv…danau gets pretty bad during the wet season, water-logged and muddy.

Ahhh…Danau….I recall the bloody greens…AND the Par 4 2nd…282m….landed my drive on the fairway, pitching wedge on to the green….and pentaple (is there such a word ???) putted for a friggin triple bogey !!!! 5 bloody putts….I almost gave up golf right there and then…

Dude, you guys were lucky its been a dry season…when its rainy season, the rough is….hell. Its like stepping into a paddy field…
