Good to hear that, mark…Datai is just ridiculous in terms of pricing, so better start boycotting it if GR is improving!

my family stayed in langkawi for a week and i played at GR for a week ( yeah, u heard that 5-round of golfs!! =D ). all i can say it’s a fantastic experience. the fairway was well maintained since they changed the management. tee from black is very challenging. i think like any other golf courses around tropical countries, they also suffered from soggy fairway. the landscape was wonderful with mountains surrounding at the background, eagles and any other birds welcoming you all round.

shots must be really careful and straight, the rough can be very punishing. btw, about the sanding green, they do that once every 4mths to have a good and uniform green. so during tournament they will be cleaned. i think langkawi really is paradise on earth. will go GR again.

Never played GR, usually fly straight in and stay at my favourite the Datai, will try it out next time.
