Gotta feel it for you…but can someone clarify with KRTU on what the heck does it mean? KRTU closed to normal rakyat? Because that means the only ones who can play there would be military, as members on last count only consist of two siamese cats and a resident iguana.

Just kidding, KRTU folks. But not so on non members and non military…that’s too bad if they close this to normal folks. Next time, just say Military. Does playing paint ball count?

went there with a friend early this year..
was so hyped about playing there..
got there like around 11..
gotta wait 15 mins to reg..
when the lady came..
she asked”members or military”
i answered we’re civilian.
then she answrd,only military and members can play
then she storm’s off…
WTF right..

What’s with all the negative comments?…. KRTU has improved… I’m a member of KRTU and i think KRTU is a challenging course to play…. Let me suggest something…why don’t all of us have a game there?…lets agree on a date….

I am not sure of the fee, but for a newbie, you might want to hit Monterez first. KRTU isn’t for the faint hearted, the greens are quite torturous. I’d say even KGSAAS will be better option if you’re in that area….

I’m newbies in golfing world (just 2 months old). So far the only course that I ever played was the Guthrie (yeah, you say it is crap but to me it is like heaven)…anyway, since I live nearby to KRTU, I would like go there maybe in the next week..do you guys recommend this course for newbie like me..what is the fee now?

The comments by ‘army brat’ is about right.Krtu has much improved as,it is easily accessible,the fairways are better and green well maintained.you should at least expect this ,as this is an air-force club.But, my golfing friends complained that you have to register at the security gates.well my friends,would’nt you do the same,if aircraft engines also can go missing!!Anyway,I suggest you come here to play golf again…otherwise you ‘become a snail,grows old,cooks in the kitchen at all weather’….hehehe……regards

Hey there,

Read your comment and I really think that you should visit again. As a member I wasn’t insulted by your review but things have changed at the club (and for the better).
1. Travelling here is now a breeze. Take the NKVE and exit at Bukit Jelutong/Shah Alam (the Guthrie Corridor Exit). Follow signs to TUDM. From toll to enterance of Air Force base – ’bout 5 mins. You’ll enter from the other gate – not the Kampung Subang one.
2. Weather has been dry lately and the fairways are nice and firm. Krtu does have a problem with drainage (esp. the Tasik 9; the Sawit 9 has only one hole, the 13th hole, that gets really bad) but they’re working on it.
3. Speaking of working on it – the maintenance is really improving. The course really looks good these days (yes, even I’m pleasantly surprised!)
4. The best feature – The greens are in really good shape these days. Fast, undulating (as you probably know) and if they cut the hole on a slope – beware. “Devillish” is putting it mildly (if you’d pardon the pun).
It still isn’t a hackers course but it’s slowly being a real good test of golf as opposed to a water logged course. Play well at Krtu and you’d play well anywhere.

Here we ‘cangkuling’ in KRTU by invitation from one of the club members. The course was good but some having narrow fairways, plenty of waters and ‘becak’ in certain areas which I presumed the course having no good drainage system – and not to forget – monkeys gulping on your balls !

Along the proper playing time, we were being warned by the so called ‘Marshall’ honking us to speed up the game as if we were delaying other flights behind. “What the crab”, can’t he see the flight in front of us…! It really distract our game, thought of smashing his face with my 7iron…woosh..

Having fun ?…not really
